Case study

LTS is a manufacturer of biodegradable cocoons, an innovative product designed to help with reforestation. The company uses grades from our blends range in its products. These cocoons protect young plants by providing them with a safe environment, a solution particularly well suited to arid regions.
First, a seed is placed in a cocoon filled with potting soil, creating a moist, fertile environment that fosters its growth. Once the seedling is sufficiently established, it is transplanted along with the cocoon, which assists root development.
When a seed is planted directly in the soil, the risk of root failure is 90%. Thanks to this innovative system, this figure drops to just 10%.
In order to meet their specific needs, LTS chose one of our bio-based materials, which is fully biodegradable in the soil.
