With the aim of ensuring that you can browse our site with complete peace of mind, we would like to share with you, here, the purposes and methods behind the processing of the Personal Data we collect while you browse.

 

The processing of your Personal Data (the “Data”) is always based on the principles of legality and fairness in accordance with all the applicable laws.

Identity and contact details of the Data Controller

Lactips shall process your Personal Data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of such data, known as the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR (the “Privacy Policy”).

What Data is processed by Lactips

Lactips collects information that is strictly necessary for the provision of our services.

Contact form: the purpose of the Data processing is to respond to your requests and enable Lactips to forward it to the relevant internal department(s) in order to provide an efficient response. The legal basis for the Data processing is consent.

Subscription to Lacti’News: the purpose of the Data processing is to respond to your request to subscribe to Lacti’News. The legal basis for the Data processing is consent.

Data marked with an asterisk is mandatory, allowing for the handling of your requests. If this data is not provided, Lactips is not able to respond.

In accordance with the law, Lactips does not collect Data exposing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs or trade union affiliation, Genetic Data, biometric Personal Data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, Personal Data concerning health or Personal Data concerning the sex life or sexual orientation of a natural person.

Legal obligations

Lactips may be required to communicate your Data in the event of legitimate requests from public authorities, in particular to meet national security, anti-fraud or law enforcement requirements.

How do we process your Personal Data?

The processing of your Personal Data may involve any type of operation, including its collection, recording, organisation, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, deletion and destruction.

Your Personal Data shall be processed mainly in automated form but also in paper form, with a logic strictly related to its purposes, through databases, electronic platforms managed by Lactips or by third parties appointed for this purpose as external managers and/or integrated IT systems of Lactips and the aforementioned third parties and/or sites belonging to or used by Lactips.

Lactips has assessed the level of security as adequate, taking into account the risks that could arise from the loss, destruction, modification, unauthorised disclosure, accidental or unlawful access, misuse or alteration of your Personal Data.

More specifically, Lactips:

– has taken safety measures adapted to the risks concerned;

– stores your Personal Data on servers located mainly in Europe.

In all cases, the servers are subject to an advanced daily backup system.

Who receives your Personal Data?

Lactips ensures that only authorised persons within its organisation can access your Personal Data when such access is necessary for the performance of our business relationship or to respond to your requests (Data Controller, relevant internal department(s)).

Our service providers may also receive Data that is strictly necessary for the performance of the services we have entrusted to them.

Regarding the Retention of Personal Data

In order to ensure compliance with the principles of necessity and proportionality of the data processing, the Data Controller has identified different retention periods for Personal Data depending on the individual intended purposes:

– for the purposes of managing your subscription to Lacti’News, your Data shall be kept for the period of time strictly necessary, for the duration of your subscription to Lacti’News or 3 years from the last incoming contact.

– for the purposes of responding to your requests sent via the contact form, your Personal Data shall be kept for the time required to process it.

– for the purposes of managing and fulfilling the obligations laid down by law (accounting, administrative, tax, etc.), your Data shall be kept for as long as is strictly necessary for this purpose.

Once the retention periods have expired, we may archive the Data, in particular to comply with the statute of limitations for legal proceedings.

In any event, the Data retention periods comply with the recommendations of the CNIL and/or legal obligations.

Your rights concerning the processing of your Personal Data

The Privacy Policy grants you several rights as an interested party. In particular, you have the right:

  1. To obtain from the Data Controller confirmation of the existence or otherwise of your Personal Data, even if it is not yet recorded, and its communication in intelligible form, as well as access to your Personal Data (by obtaining a copy) and to the relevant information (including the purposes of the processing, the categories and origins of the Personal Data, the categories of recipients to whom it has been or may be communicated, the retention period (if possible), and the rights that may be exercised);
  2. To obtain from the Data Controller the rectification of your Data and the integration of incomplete Data;
  3. To delete your profile on the Site and, in all cases, to obtain from the Data Controller the deletion of your Personal Data without undue delay, in particular when the Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed or when there is no longer any legal basis for its processing;
  4. To obtain from the Data Controller the transformation into anonymous form or the blocking of any Personal Data processed unlawfully, including Data for which retention is unnecessary, in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently processed;
  5. To obtain from the Data Controller the limitation of the processing of your Personal Data, inter alia, when you dispute its accuracy or object to its processing, for the period necessary for its respective verification;
  6. To receive, in a structured, commonly-used and automatically readable format, your Personal Data and to transmit or, if technically possible, obtain the direct transmission of your Personal Data to another Controller without hindrance, where such processing is carried out by automated means and is based on your consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party;
  7. To revoke your consent to the processing of your Personal Data for the purposes for which it was provided;
  8. To define directives relating to the conservation, deletion and communication of your Data after your death.

In addition, if, after contacting us, you feel that your rights with regard to the protection of your Personal Data have not been respected, you may submit a complaint to the CNIL.
